President Obama’s Labor Day address to the AFL-CIO

Yesterday was Labor Day which I hope everyone enjoyed and remembered the importance of the Labor movement here in the United States. The President gave a wonderful speech yesterday at the AFL-CIO Labor Picnic in Cincinnati, Ohio. You can find a video and text of the speech here. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/07/obama-labor-day-speech-at_n_278772.html.

The President captured not only all of the great things that the Labor movement has provided for our society but also noted that there is more work to be done. Universal health care is a labor issue and we need labor to be on board with the goal of making sure every citizen has access to quality health care. PGCYD supports the President of the United States and our Congressional Delegation in seeking health care reform.
