Hello world and welcome to the blog for the Prince George’s County Young Democrats. Right now I am at the Young Democrats of America National Convention in Chicago. It has been a great time thus far. I got in yesterday afternoon. As I was waiting in line to check into the hotel, former Chairman of the DNC, Howard Dean was also checking in. He was very nice and down to earth. He was the guest speaker at the opening reception last night. Of course the topic was on health care which is the hot topic right now.

There is a lot of activity at the convention as we have our elections for our national officers. Some of the activity seems a bit over the top such as the CIA looking ear pieces that people are wearing. One thing that I am very upset about is the ad in the program that was sponsored by St. Louis Young Democrats. I understand elections are going on. However, I think the ad is very childish and immature. I am very disgusted about it.

However, the convention is going well. I am getting ready to moderate the workshop on Chapter Building. There are a lot of great workshops.

Also, our own Delegate Aisha Braveboy from District 25 is here with us as a Delegate from Maryland and representing Prince George’s County. We are happy to have her here with us.
