About US

The Prince George’s County Young Democrats (PGCYD) is committed to mobilizing the young people of Prince Georges County  to be politically involved, aid in addressing issues in Prince George's, and serving as a conduit between young people and elected officials within Maryland. 

The Prince George’s County Young Democrats intend to to accomplish  these goals by inspiring young people to get active within the community through educational programming, aiding young voters to “Get Out and Vote” during election season, and strengthening partnerships between our organization and elected officials from all levels of government within our state. 

Through these efforts, our organization  believes  in bringing  out the best in individuals . Therefore, we seek to instill in individuals the values of being  dutiful to the communities of Prince George's County, practicing ethical leadership,  and advocating for policies that affect the county for the better. We  are committed to  instilling these values to the young individuals of Prince George’s County while paying homage to the current and historical leaders of our community.
